LIIT, a play on HIIT (high intensity interval training), is a daily fitness program of low impact interval training for a high impact workout. Split between sweat-inducing cardio and full body strength training utilizing only your own body weight, LIIT is a great workout for anyone, anywhere.
Every time your foot hits the ground when you run, you are putting 2.5x your body weight through your lower extremities. While some impact helps build bone density, too much impact can place excessive strain on the body. Low-impact exercise provides diminished direct force on the body, potentially reducing the risk of injury.
Coming back from an injury? First time dipping your toe into fitness? LIIT is an effectively accessible workout for those getting (back) into fitness. The workout focuses on sustainably building your body and reducing injury. All exercises start with a base movement and work your way up!
